A stronger digital future for students begins with access to the right technology. Through ESOFT’s EDUCONNECT Initiative, Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala, has received a fully furnished computer laboratory equipped with 50 complete computer systems, creating new opportunities for students to strengthen their digital knowledge and practical IT skills.
The contribution was made through ESOFT Metro Campus Kurunegala as part of ESOFT’s continuing commitment to supporting education and expanding access to technology across Sri Lanka. Beyond providing computers, the initiative has created a complete learning environment where students can explore technology, build confidence and develop skills increasingly essential for higher education and future careers.
Dr. Dayan Rajapakse, Chairman and Managing Director of ESOFT Group, joined the occasion, reinforcing ESOFT’s commitment to working alongside schools and communities to strengthen educational opportunities for the next generation.
In an era where digital literacy is becoming fundamental to almost every field of study and employment, access to modern IT facilities can make a meaningful difference in how young people learn, experiment and prepare for the future.
The new facility will support Maliyadeva College in delivering more engaging and practical IT learning experiences, while giving students greater exposure to the technologies shaping today’s world.
Through the EDUCONNECT Initiative, ESOFT continues to extend its impact beyond its own campuses, building partnerships that help schools strengthen learning environments and equip students for an increasingly digital future.
For Maliyadeva College, the 50-computer laboratory represents more than new infrastructure. It is an investment in skills, confidence and opportunity – and another step towards building a digital future, together.
