The National Level Information and Communication Technology Champions Awards 2024 took place on 28th April 2025 at the Ministry of Education Auditorium in Battaramulla, under the patronage of Mr. Nalaka Kaluwewa, Secretary to the Ministry of Education.

The event was organized by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Professional Education, and the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL). As a strategic partner of FITIS, ESOFT Metro Campus plays a key role in supporting initiatives like this, aimed at uplifting ICT education and recognizing young talent across the country.

The 2024 competition was conducted under four main categories:

• Young Computer Scientist
• School Software Competition
• Creative Teachers’ Competition
• Creative Teacher–Student Collaboration

Winners from each category were honored for their creativity, innovation, and contributions to the ICT field. The event also recognized students who represented Sri Lanka at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) International Competition held in Brunei, December 2024.

The evaluation process was conducted by the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), ensuring credibility and academic rigor.

Although the event did not receive wide public coverage, ESOFT will be sharing exclusive photos and stories in collaboration with FITIS through its own media channels, continuing its mission to promote and celebrate the future of technology in Sri Lanka.
