The BSc Banking
and Finance program seeks to encourage students to learn throughout their lives
and to act as a springboard for careers in the graduate labor market. The goal
of the course is to get students ready for a career in the banking and finance sector
in national and international platforms. This course improves students'
critical thinking skills in a range of circumstances while giving them in-depth
knowledge and understanding of theory, methodology, and applications in banking
and finance. Through formal interaction time with the teaching staff during
lectures and seminars, students' learning is prompted and guided. Reading,
writing, problem-solving, and other learning activities outside of class are
also encouraged to help students enhance their learning skills.
The course
encourages the development of critical thinking. Practical skills are acquired
through individual activities carried out by students who reflect on, develop,
and submit work for informal assessment by the tutor as well as through the use
of student presentations in seminars and tutorials. Students learn to take
greater responsibility for their work by exercising initiative and
independence, which culminates in their level 6 project.
