BEng (Hons) Computer Networking and Cloud Security course is designed to address the engineering skills-shortage in computer networks, cloud and security technologies.
Computer networking and cloud infrastructure has become a mainstay of the information technology industry, opening the possibility for on-demand, highly elastic, and infinite computer power with scalability. As a result, the security of such infrastructure has now become critical to prevent cyber-attacks and cyber-crimes.
The course is designed around Cisco and Palo Alto curriculum. All students study core
modules on the latest Cisco CCNA curriculum, CCNA Cyber Ops, Palo Alto (PCCSA),
CCNA Security, and CCNA Wireless.
The final year project titles are continuously updated in consultation with our
industrial partners to reflect recent technological advances and increase employability
opportunities for our graduates. In a nutshell, the course is designed to prepare its
graduates as a work-ready professional in the areas of computer network management, cloud and security technologies including wireless and IoT (Internet of Things) security. The course with balanced theory and hands-on practice prepares motivated and academically minded graduates for entering postgraduate studies such as MSc and/or MPhil/PhD.
