Prof. Ruvan Abeysekara

Dean- School of Computing

PhD (Doc.Eng.), MSc(CS), BSc, Dip.(Tec.Sc.), DFA, MBCS, MCS,

MIEEE, MIEEECS, MIET, MIDES

Prof. Ruvan Abeysekara is an experienced IT professional who holds a PhD (Doctor of Engineering) in Computer Science and Technology from University of Dalian, Peoples Republic of China. He Obtained his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Colombo-School of Computing, and his Bachelor of Science in comprehensive HR management, Project Management, Lecturing, Consultation, and Management Skills in both Face-to-Face (F2F) and Distance Environments.

Prof. Abeysekara is currently a Member of the Institute of Doctors Engineers and Scientists, a Board member, and Senior Lecturer of the faculty board of IT at University of Technology Sri Lanka, and a Board Member of Board of Studies of School of Accounting and Business (SAB) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He is also a Professional Member of the British Computer Society.

He is presently heading the School of Computing as the Dean and Professor of Computer Science at ESOFT Metro Campus and serves as a visiting Lecturer at Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka and the University of Sri Jayawardenepura.

Dr. Dillina Herath

BBA, PGDip (Mgt.), MBA, PhD

Dr. Dillina Herath is a lecturer with cross disciplined lecturing experience of teaching ICT as well as management subjects.

He is a graduate of the University of Colombo and pursued an MBA in Marketing at Charles Sturt University before obtaining his PhD in Knowledge Management at the University of Newport. In addition to functioning as the Dean of ESOFT Metro Campus, he is also attached to the Faculty of Graduate Studies at University of Colombo and teaches a number of subjects while also acting as a research supervisor of Master’s as well as PhD students representing disciplines ranging from ICT to Development Studies.
